tour is awesome. right now I'm two hours west of manhattan, having spent the night on fire when ready's floor. I'm happy that when I move out to NYC these guys are going to be two hours away and I'll still be able to see them every once in a while.
everyone on this tour is awesome. everyone's really nice, and all the bands are crazy talented. I love watching every band every night. I highly recommend fire when ready to everyone who reads this. bear vs shark and curl up & die are also very good, but they're not for everyone.
the past few nights we've played disgustingly hot shows. two nights ago brandon vomitted a little on stage while playing. hottest show they've ever played. I of course had picked that night to get drunk on a large portion of vodka. when I started sobering up, I felt like I was going to pass out until about 10 minutes after we'd left the venue with the AC cranked.
while on tour I have purchased confessions of a dangerous mind by chuck barris (the book the movie is based on which I have been meaning to read for years now) and SNL best of christopher walken. both have proved to be sound investments so far.
yesterday I couldn't find my ipod in the van and was severely stressed about it all day. then zach found it with ease last night. I felt like an idiot, but a relieved idiot so who cares.
tonight we're in syracuse and tomorrow we get a day off. we're going to equal vision to hang out at the guys' record label. I'm excited about meeting everyone there. apparently we're going to a place called ichiban that has amazing vegetarian orange chicken.
every time I type the word vegetarian I'm worried I'm going to spell it wrong, and now I really worry about it because who subscribes to a lifestyle and doesn't know how to spell it? people I hate, that's who.
being away for this long has yielded some cripplingly worried/jealous/idiotic trains of thought. they just keep spiraling off into worse territory every time. and none of it is founded, the rational part of my brain assures me, but past experience screams the same old songs. time to change the station.
I've thought of multiple stencil ideas lately, but don't normally have the internet to access images I want to begin them. I suppose I should take advantage now while everyone except zach and I are still asleep and there's no way we're leaving soon. I didn't bring an exacto blade from zach's house though, nor do I know when I'll be able to print things out or what I'll cut them on. these are things to worry about after I've designed the stencils, I suppose.
congrats jeff, and I can't quite remember how everyone else is doing. update me on your lives, people.
zach wrote a bit last night saying how he feels like awesome things have been happening, but can't remember what they are when trying to update this thing (I apologize if I'm misquoting you, zach). I quite agree.
I really like the phrase "sweet heart." when it's seperated into two words like that. I find it incredibly endearing/ romantic.

The tour you're on sounds wonderful. I must be really out of it because I have no idea what tour you are on. I read through some of your old LJ entries but could find no explanation of what it is. Please let me know. Best success, whatever it is.
Love,
Jonathan
PS - Do not be fooled by Greg's comment. He has in no way read a book. He skimmed through the Zombie Survival Guide which is hardly a book.

I am currently on tour with my friends, fear before the march of flames, selling merch for them. for a week or so we were on a festival tour called the sounds of the underground which included a lot of metal and hardcore bands, not the least of which was GWAR. we are now on a headlining tour for the rest of july, currently in albany, and we'll be going up into canada soon for a few days, then eventually back to denver where the guys are from. I'm having a blast.
hope things are well.
